Job summary

John Zink is seeking a Senior Subarc Code Welder to join our manufacturing team in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This role performs high-quality code welding on pipe, pressure vessels, and other fabricated equipment while supporting a safe, quality-focused production environment. The successful candidate will leverage welding expertise to create value for customers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the operation.

This role is not eligible for VISA sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Experience performing Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) in a manufacturing or fabrication setting.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
• Ability to perform work according to welding procedures and quality standards.
• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment weld test.

Responsibilities

• Perform code welding on pipe and other fabricated equipment.
• Complete welding assignments per approved welding procedures and quality requirements.
• Interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, welding symbols, and work instructions.
• Produce welds that meet code and quality requirements and pass nondestructive testing (RT, PT).
• Collaborate with production, quality and engineering teams to meet objectives.
• Follow safety, environmental and operating standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency and value creation.
• Support training and knowledge sharing within the welding team.
