Job summary

Banana Republic is seeking a highly experienced Sr. Stylist, Visual Direction to elevate Lay Down (PPLD) styling and lead a cross-functional team. You will coach stylists, set standards, and collaborate with Photo and Retouching to deliver premium imagery across categories.

The role also explores AI-enabled tools to modernize workflows while maintaining craft. You will manage studio workflows, guide on-set styling, and contribute to creating an editorial, high-taste visual language that aligns

Qualifications

• 10+ years of advanced styling experience with deep roots in PPLD and an editorial eye.
• Ability to mentor and coach stylists on set and in post-production.
• Comfortable partnering with Photo and Retouching teams to align on creative direction.
• Interest in exploring AI tools to enhance ideation, documentation, or efficiency.
• Strong communication and collaboration across Styling, Photo, Retouching, and Brand teams.

Responsibilities

• Act as the studio's PPLD styling expert: techniques, tools, composition, shaping, folding, texture, shadow, and accuracy.
• Style across categories; on-figure experience is a plus.
• Train and coach stylists on set; reinforce elevated techniques and best practices.
• Provide markups in Axis and ensure clear direction for photographers and retouchers.
• Partner with Photo and Retouching through weekly touchpoints to align on angles, lighting, and post-production needs.
• Conduct regular site audits to evaluate accuracy and impact; translate findings into styling and retouching updates.
• Track styling trends and incorporate AI-generated concepts to keep work modern.
