Job summary

Hunt Electric, Inc. is seeking a full-time Structured Cabling Technician II within the Technology and Data Comm Division.

This senior-level technician will understand a wide range of systems and construction techniques, report to the Project Foreman, and may run a crew to deliver projects on time and within budget. Major duties include coordinating activities, reading specs, mentoring team members, ensuring safety and quality, and performing site commissioning.

Qualifications

• 3 Years in Structured Cabling Industry.
• Experience running crews.
• Hold safety in high regard.
• Expect high level quality craftsmanship.
• Experience delivering large complex projects.
• Fiber installation / termination / splicing experience.
• Copper feed Pair termination experience.
• Workstation termination and Comm room buildout experience.
• Familiar with Fluke test equipment for both fiber and copper.
• Have a valid driver's license.
• Microsoft 360 experience is a plus.
• Blue Beam experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activity sequencing in line with project specs.
• Read and interpret project drawings and specifications.
• Mentor team members and lead by example.
• Assist project teams to mitigate risks and issues.
• Run a crew or crews on projects as directed by the Project Foreman or PM.
• Perform site commissioning and turnup.
• Ensure safety, quality, and craftsmanship on all tasks.
• Deliver on-time, within-budget project execution.
• Maintain regular attendance and reliable work hours.
• Collaborate with project teams to exceed client expectations.
