Job summary

IDR, Inc. seeks a Senior Structured Cabling Project Manager to lead design and implementation of copper and fiber cabling, coordinate with mechanical/electrical teams, and manage submittals, RFIs, and closeout documents across NYC, Jersey City, Plano, and Columbus.

With 10+ years in structured cabling, strong ANSI/TIA/EIA and BICSI knowledge (RCDD preferred), CAD/BIM proficiency (AutoCAD, Revit), and excellent stakeholder communication, you will drive complex deployments and RF system designs

Qualifications

• Over 10 years of structured cabling engineering and design.
• Strong knowledge of ANSI/TIA/EIA and BICSI standards, with RCDD preferred.
• Experience coordinating with mechanical and electrical teams; understand power/HVAC routing.
• CAD/BIM workflows with AutoCAD and Revit; proficient in MS Office.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of structured cabling systems (copper/fiber).
• Coordinate with mechanical/electrical teams for installability and compliance.
• Oversee submittals, RFIs, and closeout documentation across multiple projects.

Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Senior Structured Cabling Project Manager:

• Lead the design and implementation of structured cabling systems, including copper and fiber cabling, telecom room layouts, and testing requirements. Coordinate with mechanical and electrical teams to ensure compliance and constructability of cabling and RF solutions.
• Oversee project deliverables such as submittals, RFIs, and closeout documentation, ensuring alignment with industry standards.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors to meet client requirements.
• Provide oversight for RF system designs, including Cell DAS, WiFi, and Two-Way Radio systems.

Required Skills for Senior Structured Cabling Project Manager:

• Over 10 years of experience in structured cabling engineering and design.
• Strong knowledge of ANSI/TIA/EIA and BICSI standards, with a preference for BICSI RCDD certification.
• Proficiency in coordinating with mechanical and electrical teams, understanding power requirements, HVAC impacts, and routing constraints.
• Experience with CAD/BIM workflows, including AutoCAD and Revit, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and projects.
