Candidates must have 8+ years experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, formal welding training or apprenticeship, and AWS certification.

• Proficient in FCAW, SAW, and GMAW.
• Knowledge of different types of steel and their properties.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding to join steel components; manage joint prep and welds.
• Execute full penetration groove welds and out-of-position welds (3G/4G/6G).
• Prepare surfaces prior to welding.
• Select appropriate consumables and electrodes based on steel type.
• Set up and adjust welding equipment for desired weld quality.
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE.
• Inspect welds for defects and repair as needed.
• Maintain welding equipment and stay updated on new technologies.
