Job summary

ZealHire is hiring a Senior Structural/Stress Engineer in Hanover, MD for a contract-to-hire role onsite. You will perform structural analysis on subsea structures and ROV components using FEA and hand calculations, working from concept to testing with a focus on load paths and structural integrity.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in stress analysis, proficiency in ANSYS and SolidWorks, and a background in aerospace is a plus.

Qualifications

• 10+ years stress analysis experience required.
• US citizen; Hanover, MD candidates only.
• Proficiency in ANSYS and SolidWorks; NASTRAN a plus.
• ABET-accredited engineering degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop load cases and quantify loads for primary and secondary structures.
• Perform static and dynamic analysis using FEA and hand methods.
• Solve large ANSYS models and document results clearly.
• Convert complex systems into simplified FEA models and report findings.
• Collaborate with designer engineers through testing and validation.
