Job summary

Achievers USA is seeking a seasoned Project Manager specializing in vertical structural steel for public works and commercial buildings in California. The role requires directing projects from initiation through close-out, coordinating with customers, design teams, detailers, and subcontractors, and ensuring schedule, budget, and quality targets are met.

You will manage detailing schedules, RFI processes, material purchasing, and shop fabrication coordination while maintaining safety standards

Qualifications

5+ years in structural steel (Coordinator/APM); 3+ years as PM.
Experience reading architectural/structural plans; familiar with AISC Code of Standard Practice.

Responsibilities

Plan, direct, and coordinate structural steel projects from kick-off to close-out.
Act as primary liaison between customers, design teams, detailers, and subcontractors.
Oversee detailing schedules, RFI processes, material purchasing, and shop fabrication coordination.
Coordinate delivery schedules, transportation, and field activities with subcontractors.
Manage Change Order Requests (CORs), billing, and budget monitoring to meet or exceed gross profit goals.
Ensure adherence to contract agreements, safety standards, and quality policies.
