Job summary

KAI Hawaii, Inc. seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead a dedicated project team across Hawaii, guiding planning to construction and aligning design with client goals.

This role requires strategic oversight of scopes, schedules, and budgets, with focus on quality, coordination, and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate brings 8–12 years in building design and project management, a Hawaii PE license (or ability to obtain), and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Structural Engineering or related field preferred
• Hawaii PE license (or ability to obtain) preferred
• 8–12 years of experience in building design and/or project management
• Strong background across building types and structural systems
• Proven ability to manage projects and mentor team members
• Experience with tools such as Revit, ETABS, RISA, RAM, or similar
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Lead a dedicated project team from planning through construction
• Provide mentorship and technical direction to team members
• Engage with clients, consultants, contractors, and agencies
• Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets
• Oversee design deliverables and construction documents for quality and coordination
• Conduct site visits to ensure construction aligns with design intent
• Evaluate and recommend structural systems based on project needs
• Identify and resolve technical and project challenges proactively
