Job summary

Barge Design Solutions, Inc. is seeking an experienced Structural Project Engineer (PE and/or SE) to join our Structural Engineering team.

The successful candidate will lead structural design and analysis across multiple market sectors and serve as Engineer of Record for projects, mentoring junior staff and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience, a strong track record managing large projects from concept to completion, and active PE

Qualifications

ABET-accredited Civil Engineering degree with a structures focus (Bachelors).
Master’s degree strongly preferred.
Active PE registration; SE preferred; 8+ years experience; leadership and communication skills.
Experience reading and interpreting codes (IBC/ASCE/AISC/ACI).
Proven ability to manage large projects from concept to completion.

Responsibilities

Serves as Structural Lead and Engineer of Record for projects across multiple sectors.
Performs and oversees structural analysis and design of steel, concrete, masonry, and foundations.
Mentors Junior Engineers and Designers, providing technical guidance and quality control.
Prepares and reviews calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
