Job summary

The Osborn Engineering Company in Pittsburgh is seeking a Structural Project Engineer with 4–7 years of experience to join our growing office. This role reports to the Associate Director of Structural Engineering and supports a wide range of private- and public-sector projects.

You will collaborate with senior engineers, contribute to design and detailing, and participate in site reviews and construction administration.

Qualifications

4–7 years of structural design experience in consulting engineering.
Bachelor’s and/or Master’s in Structural, Civil, or Architectural Engineering.
EIT or PE/SE license preferred.
Proactive and collaborative team member.
Strong knowledge of local and national building codes.

Responsibilities

Design new building structures and modifications.
Manage and coordinate projects with clients and other disciplines.
Collaborate with senior engineers to assemble structural work products.
Prepare structural integrity and assessment reports.
Design and detailing of structures with calculations and models for steel, concrete, masonry, timber.
Prepare design deliverables for SD, DD, CD.
Coordinate with architectural, electrical and mechanical drawings and attend meetings.
Meet project schedule and budget requirements.
Provide site reviews and construction administration during construction.
Participate in continuing education and improvement efforts.
