Job summary

McMillen, Inc. seeks a Senior Structural Project Manager with a strong technical background and a PE license to lead design and project delivery for water resources across dams, energy, fisheries, infrastructure, and natural resources sectors in Boise.

You will manage multi-discipline teams, mentor staff, pursue business opportunities, and build lasting client relationships while overseeing major projects. Occasional travel is 15% of the time.

Qualifications

• PE License required; SE License preferred; NCEES registration preferred.
• 15 years+ of structural design experience, in water resource related work.
• 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead in the preparation of complete project documents from design development reports through construction documents.
• Independently evaluate, select, and apply advanced structural design techniques, procedures, and criteria to projects.
• Effectively manage multi-discipline teams, assign tasks and direct other engineers, technicians and administrative staff.
• Collection and analysis of existing data by performing field investigations of existing structures and review of as-built plans and engineering reports to establish existing conditions and identify critical areas for design criteria.
• Identify project opportunities and assists with proposals to provide professional services for engineering projects or programs.
• Prepares scopes, budgets, and schedules for projects.
• Develop, manage, and maintain client relationships.
• Evaluate and manage planning, design and construction support services for projects.
