Job summary

Jobot is seeking a project engineer to lead the design and detailing of building structures, both independently and within a team. You will coordinate with design professionals and principals, select framing strategies, perform analyses, and produce drawings and specs.

You’ll also review shop drawings and monitor construction progress. The role requires an MS in Structural Engineering, PE license, 4+ years’ experience, RAM/RISA, and REVIT proficiency.

Qualifications

• MS in Structural Engineering required.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in the design of building structures.
• Professional Engineer Registration required.
• Experience in steel, concrete, masonry, and timber design.
• Familiar with design codes.
• Experience producing construction documents (drawings and specifications).
• RAM or RISA analysis software experience.
• Fluent in REVIT.

Responsibilities

• Manage, design, and detail building structures both independently and in a larger team.
• Liaise between design professionals and firm Principals.
• Select structural systems and conceptual framing.
• Perform analyses and design calculations.
• Develop construction drawings and specifications.
• Review shop drawings and contractor work during construction.
