Job summary

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Civil, Structural, or Architecture Engineering.
• MS degree in Civil/Structural Engineering is preferred.
• PE license in Florida or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 5+ years of professional experience in forensic engineering.
• Residential/Commercial inspection experience a plus.
• Knowledge of building codes, standards, and construction practices; litigation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage structural forensic engineering assignments.
• Perform forensic engineering assessments and prepare reports.
• Provide verbal/written reports for insurers, attorneys, homeowners, and property managers.
• Serve as expert in litigation cases.
• Travel within 150 miles of office; occasional travel to other NV5 locations.
• Supervise junior engineers in field work and report development.
• Develop site observation reports with conclusions.

B.S. Degree in Civil/Structural/Architecture Engineering

M.S. Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (preferred)

Professional Engineering (PE) license in Florida
