Job summary

NV5 is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our Building Design Group in Florida. The role is hands-on with the design of commercial and multifamily buildings, overseeing multiple projects, budgets, schedules, and client communications across Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa, and beyond.

You will work with a team of engineers and architects, utilize ETABS, RAM, Revit, and BIM, and ensure compliance with high seismic codes while delivering quality design in a collaborative, growth-focused

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Civil/Structural Engineering; MS preferred.
• FL PE license is required.
• 5+ years of structural design experience (Concrete, Steel, Masonry, Wood).
• Knowledge of building codes and high-seismic design practices.
• Proficient in ETABS, RISA, RAM Structural System/Elements, Enercalc, Excel; Revit experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on technical design of building projects.
• Oversee multiple projects with budgeting and scheduling.
• Client management and communication.
• Attend project sites and client meetings.
• Coordinate with engineers and architects across disciplines.
• Assist with budget estimates and proposals.
