Job summary

Novax Recruitment Group is hiring an experienced estimator for a premier structural steel fabrication company in the United States. The role focuses on takeoffs, cost recaps, and vendor scoping, with collaboration across design, vendors, and project teams.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of estimating experience in structural steel, strong numerical skills, and proficiency with Tekla, Procore, and AI-driven takeoff tools.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years estimating experience in structural steel preferred.
• Strong numerical aptitude and ability to visualize 3D structures from 2D plans.
• Proficiency with digital estimating/construction tools (Tekla, Procore, AI takeoff) required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review blueprints, 3D models, and construction drawings to produce accurate material and labor takeoffs.
• Prepare cost recaps, vendor scope analyses, and clear exclusions.
• Coordinate bid documents, vendor pricing, and project schedules to meet deadlines.
• Support budgeting and pricing for scope changes/change requests.
• Collaborate with Document Control, designers, vendors, and project leaders.
