Job summary

Hampton, Lenzini and Renwick, Inc. (HLR) seeks a Structural Engineering Department Manager to lead the Springfield, IL office directing transportation and civil projects, mentoring staff, and expanding client relationships with IDOT and regional agencies.

You will own P&L for the department, develop strategic plans, oversee budgets, and drive growth through proposal leadership and high‑quality design delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• PE and SE licenses in Illinois are required.
• Management experience in transportation/civil projects is expected.
• Strong communication and client-relations skills are essential.
• Proven ability to oversee budgets, schedules, and QA/QC processes.

• Lead the Springfield office's structural engineering group and strategic growth.
• Direct project delivery, budgets, schedules, and client satisfaction.
