Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead design and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure in the Lexington, KY area. You will manage projects, perform analyses, develop drawings, and mentor junior engineers.

The role requires PE licensure, 10+ years of experience, and strong collaboration with clients and multidisciplinary teams. On-site work in Lexington with potential remote flexibility as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; PE license required.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in structural engineering for water-related projects.
• Experience with analysis, design and inspection of spillways, dams and hydropower facilities.
• Proficiency in structural design codes and building codes; ability to mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage structural design on water and wastewater facilities and related infrastructure.
• Perform and review calculations, develop drawings, and issue specifications.
• Coordinate with internal teams and subconsultants; contribute to proposals and budgets.
• Provide QC, ITR, and client-facing technical leadership across multiple projects.
