Job summary

HKA Enterprises in the Augusta, SC area is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer (P.E.) to join our team and lead structural design for complex industrial, manufacturing, and specialty chemical facility projects.

This role offers significant technical autonomy, ownership of projects from design through construction, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, clients, contractors, and other key stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
• Active P.E. licensure required.
• Experience designing structural systems for industrial facilities.
• Familiarity with pipe racks, platforms, foundations and equipment supports.
• Knowledge of codes: IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ASTM, OSHA.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer structural systems for industrial projects.
• Lead engineers, designers, and drafters.
• Perform structural analysis and calculations.
• Support construction with site visits, RFIs, and submittal reviews.
• Ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Review drawings, specs, and documentation.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, vendors.
• Provide technical leadership through the project lifecycle.
