Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
• Active P.E. licensure required.
• Experience designing structural systems for industrial facilities.
• Familiarity with pipe racks, platforms, foundations and equipment supports.
• Knowledge of codes: IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ASTM, OSHA.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer (P.E.) to join our team and support complex industrial, manufacturing, and specialty chemical facility projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior-level structural engineer who enjoys solving challenging engineering problems, working directly with multidisciplinary project teams, and taking ownership of projects from design through construction.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and technical leadership of structural systems supporting process equipment, piping, electrical systems, industrial platforms, buildings, pipe racks, and foundations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and engineer structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and light-gauge steel systems
• Design and analyze foundations, pipe racks, platforms, equipment supports, walkways, and other industrial structures
• Perform structural analysis, calculations, and engineering evaluations
• Lead and coordinate the work of engineers, designers, and drafters
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, clients, contractors, and vendors
• Provide technical leadership throughout the design and project lifecycle
• Manage technical scope, project risks, design challenges, and deliverables
• Review engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
• Support construction activities through site visits, RFI responses, submittal reviews, field evaluations, and construction support
• Ensure designs comply with applicable project requirements, building codes, engineering standards, and company quality standards
• Participate in client meetings and provide technical guidance as needed
• Help identify practical, cost-effective structural solutions for complex industrial applications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related discipline
• Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
• Significant experience designing structural systems for industrial, manufacturing, heavy industrial, chemical, petrochemical, or specialty chemical facilities
• Experience with industrial structural systems such as pipe racks, equipment supports, platforms, foundations, and industrial buildings
• Strong understanding of structural engineering principles, analysis, and design
• Proficiency with one or more structural analysis/design platforms, including:
• RISA
• STAAD.Pro
• RAM Structural Systems
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks
• Strong knowledge of applicable engineering codes and standards, including:
• IBC
• ASCE 7
• AISC
• ACI
• OSHA
• ASTM
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong technical writing, problem-solving, leadership, and project coordination abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working directly with industrial clients, contractors, and vendors
• Experience leading structural engineering teams and coordinating multidisciplinary design efforts
• Previous experience with specialty chemical, process manufacturing, or other highly regulated industrial facilities
