Blue Origin is seeking an experienced design engineer for composite structural components in Merritt Island, FL. You will own the design, release, and testing of structural parts for New Glenn, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet safety and performance standards.

The role requires a B.S. in mechanical/structural engineering and 5–10+ years with aerospace structures, along with strong CAD/FEA skills and manufacturing integration experience.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in mechanical, structural, or related engineering field.
• 5-10+ years in professional engineering experience with aerospace structures.
• Strong fundamentals in mechanics of materials, stress/strain, statics, and FEA.

Responsibilities

• Full design engineering ownership of composite structural components.
• Lead scope from planning to release and testing.
• Create and modify CAD drawings and engineering documentation.
• Support procurement and build schedules for vehicle integration.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams across multiple sites.
