Job summary

Arcadis in San Francisco, CA seeks a Principal Structural Engineer with 15+ years of seismic design experience to lead heavy civil infrastructure projects. You will guide analyses, drawings, reports, and cost estimates, while mentoring teams and coordinating across offices to ensure quality and constructability.

You will direct project work plans, manage risks, and engage with owners, contractors, and design partners to deliver successful outcomes from planning through construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• At least 15 years of progressive structural engineering experience on major infrastructure projects.
• Current California Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Expertise in California seismic analysis and design of reinforced concrete structures.

Responsibilities

• Lead preliminary and final design of heavy civil and infrastructure structures for major projects.
• Direct, review, and approve analyses, drawings, specs, reports and cost estimates.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across offices to deliver integrated project outcomes.
• Mentor engineers and promote technical excellence with clients and partners.
• Provide engineering services during construction and lead design reviews and client engagements.
