AEC Recruiting Solutions LLC is assisting a Denver-based structural engineering consultancy in finding a Senior Structural Engineer / Project Manager. This role leads commercial projects, mentors staff, and serves as the main liaison with architects and contractors in a hybrid Denver environment.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in structural design for commercial buildings, PE required in CO, and strong PM skills to manage scope, schedule, and QA/QC from concept through construction.

Qualifications

• BSCE required, MSCE/MSSE preferred.
• PE, CO
• 8+ years of structural design experience on commercial buildings
• Experience with concrete, steel, post-tensioned concrete, wood, and masonry systems
• Experience with AutoCAD, REVIT, RAM, RISA, or similar structural analysis software
• Strong client communication and project management skills
• Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design of commercial buildings, including multifamily, hospitality, mixed-use, education, retail, and senior living projects
• Manage projects end to end, including scope, schedule, fees, and coordination with the design team
• Serve as the main structural contact for architects, owners, and general contractors
• Evaluate structural system options early in design for cost, constructability, and schedule
• Review and stamp calculations and drawings, and provide QA/QC on team deliverables
• Oversee construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, and site observations
• Mentor and develop design and project engineers

It's a small, principal-led firm known for practical, constructability-focused design and for client relationships that go back decades, with much of its work coming from repeat clients. They're looking for a seasoned structural engineer to lead projects from concept through construction, mentor younger engineers, and be a trusted point of contact for architects and contractors.
