Qualifications

• Typically 5-11 years of related experience.
• Professional registration (PE) required at this level.
• Must be cognizant of the capabilities and limitations of various computer software packages and automated engineering/design equipment to effectively direct their use across diverse engineering assignments.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the development of project design concepts and criteria
• Makes recommendations on project staffing
• Analyzes complex design problems requiring development of new or improved techniques or procedures
• Consults with construction personnel on design constructability
• Monitors project progress for technical accuracy and adherence to schedule and budget
• Provides input on proposals and engages with proposal teams and managers
• Represents projects at meetings and conferences
• May plan, organize, and supervise design engineering activities for a project of significant size and complexity (e.g., integration of two or more engineering disciplines), or two or more projects of moderate size and complexity
• May provide direction and supervision to lower-level team members
