Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate understanding of the California Building Standards Code and Referenced Standards.
• Review construction documents for residential, multifamily, commercial, industrial, and other structural projects.
• Evaluate drawings, structural calculations, geotechnical/soils reports for code compliance.
• Apply engineering judgment to assess structural integrity and life-safety aspects.
• Mentor plan review staff and supervise structural engineers.
• Prepare clear oral and written reports.
• Develop proficiency with electronic plan check systems and review software.
