Job summary

Manpower Engineering is partnering with a reputable firm in Plover, WI, seeking a Senior Structural Engineer, PE, for a remote/WFH/permanent role. Base salary up to $170,000 + overtime and bonus; full benefits included.

Responsibilities include preliminary layouts, design and detailing, client coordination (on-site or office), and leading multidisciplinary teams. PE license in WI required; travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineering (PE) License in Wisconsin.
• Experience in industrial, commercial, or manufacturing sectors a plus; troubleshoot structural problems.
• Working knowledge of design standards and codes.
• Experience using structural software like Bentley or Revit; proficient in Excel/Word/Outlook/QuickBase.

Responsibilities

• Provide preliminary layouts using hand sketches, Bluebeam or REVIT; apply engineering judgement.
• Perform engineering design and detailing in a timely manner using structural software or hand calculations.
• Communicate with clients to verify conditions and requirements; on-site or at office meetings.
• Contribute as a leader or team member in multidisciplinary project teams.
• Review/approve scopes, budgets, and schedules; prepare proposals for professional services.
• Review project documents for conformity and quality assurance.
• Update project notes, tasks and timecards in QuickBase.

• Provide preliminary layouts using hand sketches, Bluebeam software or REVIT CAD software. This will also involve engineering judgement, experience and creative problem solving.
• Engineering design and detailing to be carried out in a timely manner using structural software or by hand calculations/sketches.
• Client communication to verify conditions or requirements. Includes client meetings on-site or in the company’s office.
• Ability to function on multidisciplinary teams either as an effective leader or team member to meet project goals.
• Reviews and approves scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments. Prepare proposals to provide professional services.
• Reviews complete project documents for conformity and quality assurance.
• Update Project Notes, Tasks and Timecards in QuickBase regularly and timely.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineering (PE) License in Wisconsin.
• Experience in the industrial, commercial, and manufacturing sectors is a plus. This includes the ability to troubleshoot client structural problems/failures and provide structural inspections.
• Working knowledge of design standards and codes.
• Experience using structural computer software programs such as Bentley, Revit, or a similar program.
• Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and QuickBase.
• Strong communication and writing skills.
• Must have self-discipline and initiative skills.
• Ability to travel for client meetings or to job sites.
