Job summary

Buro Happold is seeking an accomplished Structural Engineer to lead multi-disciplinary projects in the Los Angeles region. You will champion the team’s strategy, mentor staff, and drive profitable project delivery while maintaining high technical quality.

You will develop client relationships, represent the firm externally, and contribute to winning new commissions through proactive engagement with stakeholders across the region.

Qualifications

As an established Structural Engineer, 10+ years leading structural and multi-disciplinary projects.
Master’s Degree required; PE or SE licensure preferred.
Proven ability to lead client relationships and project delivery.
Strong work-winning mindset and business development focus.
Willingness to mentor and develop the regional team.
Excellent communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Develop and champion the team’s strategy to meet business targets and brand goals.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to the wider team.
Lead project proposals and fee estimates; ensure profitability and on-time delivery.
Represent the firm at design team meetings and with clients across the region.
Manage relationships with clients, engineers, and stakeholders to grow work.
