Job summary

Davies Engineering Group is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead complex industrial projects from concept through detailed design. You will work on steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structures, collaborating with experienced multi-discipline teams while selling services and building the structural team.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience, a PE license, and proven mentoring ability. You will guide design decisions, work with clients, and contribute to high-impact projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering or related field.
• PE license is required.
• 10+ years of experience designing structures.
• Experience mentoring staff members.
• Proficiency with Risa-3D, Revit, and Navisworks.
• Knowledge of IBC, ASCE, ACI 318, AISC and NDS.
• Strong structural analysis experience including 3D and finite element modeling.

Responsibilities

• Sells Davies Engineering Group services and develops client relationships.
• Develops structural scopes, schedules, and costs for projects.
• Gathers field data and inspects sites to evaluate conditions.
• Independently performs calculations and prepares deliverables.
• Ensures design is accurate and coordinated within the model and drawings.
• Coordinates with designers and establishes clear direction.
• Writes project documents (studies, scope, close-out reports).
• Selects construction materials and obtains permits.
• Coordinates with outside consultants and contractors as needed.
• Participates in construction support, startup, and commissioning efforts.
• Adheres to DEG SOPs and client standards while ensuring quality.
• Establishes and manages engineering schedule and budget on projects.
• Sign-offs on drawing packages.
