Salas O’Brien, Inc. in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to independently design complex structural systems, manage project deliverables, and provide technical leadership to junior staff. You will participate in design and construction meetings to ensure alignment with standards.

The role requires a PE license, strong judgment, and experience with structural analysis software and Revit. On-site work with potential future hybrid flexibility is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in structural engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant hands-on engineering experience (MS degree may substitute for one year).
• Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in at least one state.
• Strong technical judgment and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Working knowledge of structural analysis software and Revit.

Responsibilities

• Project Management & Supervision: Guide junior engineers and technicians; may serve as project manager on moderately complex projects.
• Structural Design & Analysis: Research and implement new design methods for complex components and systems.
• Technical Expertise & QA/QC: Interpret analysis results, resolve modeling errors, contribute to lessons-learned.
• Building Code Compliance: Apply applicable codes in design work.
• Construction Administration: Conduct site visits and resolve field issues with engineering judgment.
• Software & Revit Modeling: Use software for analysis and design; proficiency in modeling, detailing, and sheet setup in Revit.
• Collaboration & Communication: Attend and contribute to design and construction meetings; clear technical communication
