HDR, Inc. is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer in Denver, CO, with 10+ years of relevant field experience. The role focuses on leading design efforts for healthcare, higher education, aerospace, and other sectors while guiding teams from design through construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 10+ years of structural engineering experience for building design.
• Professional engineering license (PE or P.Eng) required.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, RAM, ETABS, SAFE or equivalent.
• Experience designing with steel, concrete, masonry and wood.
• Understanding of gravity and lateral analysis.
• Experience in an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm.
• Commitment to HDR's employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Produce design drawings, calculations, specifications, and training materials.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams across healthcare, higher education, aerospace, hospitality, and real estate.
• Lead engineering teams to deliver well-coordinated designs.
• Coordinate structural design teams through the full project lifecycle.
• Prepare construction documents in collaboration with BIM designers.
• Conduct QC and provide guidance on active projects.
• Mentor team members and develop program documents for efficiency.
• Represent HDR in the local industry and pursue project opportunities.
