Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our Philadelphia team. You will lead the structural design and documentation of complex building projects, collaborating with architects and engineers, and mentoring junior staff while staying hands-on.

Requires a Civil Engineering degree with a Structural focus, a PE or SE license, and 5+ years of experience. Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is expected. Hybrid schedule after training, competitive salary, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural concentration.
• Active PE or SE license required.
• 5+ years of structural engineering experience.
• Experience with complex commercial or institutional projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering design and documentation for complex building projects.
• Develop conceptual designs and evaluate appropriate structural systems.
• Establish structural design criteria and perform applicable building code research.
• Develop and manage structural work plans, schedules, and project deliverables.
• Perform and oversee structural analysis and design.
• Coordinate structural systems with architectural, mechanical, electrical, and other project disciplines.
• Lead and participate in project review and coordination meetings.
• Manage, mentor, and review the work of junior engineers and technical staff.
• Monitor project progress, engineering budgets, schedules, and construction cost considerations.
• Identify technical or project delivery issues and develop appropriate solutions.
• Maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Perform site visits and provide structural engineering support throughout construction.
• Participate in construction administration and respond to field‑related structural issues.
• Maintain current knowledge of structural engineering codes, standards, technology, and design practices.
