Job summary

Stantec in Irvine, CA is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Energy & Resources team. The ideal candidate will lead structural design tasks, oversee analysis for concrete, steel and hydraulic structures, and mentor junior staff in a multidisciplinary, global project environment.

You will collaborate with clients to define project goals, prepare studies and design documents, and ensure compliance with applicable codes.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering with focus on structural engineering.
• Masters degree with emphasis in structural engineering preferred.
• California professional engineer license preferred, or ability to obtain within 1 year of employment; SE license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design tasks and projects.
• Mentor junior staff and assist in their professional development.
• Oversee development of preliminary and detailed civil/structural analyses for concrete, steel, and hydraulic structures.
• Prepare studies, design criteria, design reports, plans and specifications, and review related designs and construction plans.
