Job summary

SSOE Group in Columbia, South Carolina is looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to design and execute diverse commercial projects across the United States. This role requires leadership in complex structural evaluations and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering, experience in commercial projects, and strong communication skills. The position offers a hybrid work schedule, competitive salary between $115k - $140k, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, qualifying for licensure in the state of practice.
• PE or PE-tracked status preferred; two or more years of experience at SSOE.
• Experience with commercial projects in health, education, government sectors.

Responsibilities

• Lead project engineering tasks and develop unique design solutions.
• Plan and direct medium to large engineering projects ensuring quality and budget.
• Represent the firm in meetings and coordinate project details.

Skills

Strong client-facing communication skills

Proficiency with structural analysis software

Knowledge of building codes and standards

Working knowledge of Revit

Education
