Job summary

CR Meyer is seeking a Structural Engineer to join the Design/Build team, delivering structural analyses, drawings, and plans for heavy industrial projects. The role emphasizes collaboration with designers, customers, and regulators to meet code requirements and project goals.

The successful candidate will hold a Civil Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program, have 5+ years of structural experience, and possess a PE license (or be eligible) with FE/EIT credentials and 3D FEA experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university with a focus on structural engineering.
• Minimum of five years of related structural engineering experience in design of structural steel and foundation systems for buildings and heavy industrial equipment.
• FE exam passed or EIT certification preferred; Professional Engineer (PE) license with ability to obtain additional state licenses.
• Experience with structural engineering analysis/design tools; 3D FEA analysis experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provides structural engineering services for heavy industrial projects within the Design/Build team.
• Develops conceptual design, fabrication/installation plans, drawings, and construction plans.
• Oversees Designers on projects to ensure designs meet customer specifications and industry standards.
• Performs calculations to ensure compliance with codes and safety requirements.
• Conducts site visits and prepares documentation for analysis and drawing production.
• Collaborates with customers, regulatory agencies, and project teams to obtain plan approvals.
