Job summary

Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates, Inc. (WJE) in Honolulu, Hawaii seeks a project-manager-level Structural Engineer (Senior Associate) to join our team of architects and engineers.

You will guide multiple projects, act as the primary client contact, and seal documents as Engineer of Record where appropriate. You will manage project scope, schedule, and budgets, mentor junior staff, and contribute to business development within Hawaii, leveraging WJE's laboratory capabilities and interdisciplinary

Qualifications

• Minimum eight years of relevant structural engineering industry experience including project management
• Excellent technical, graphical, written, and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Technical project execution for day-to-day success of multiple concurrent projects
• Act as primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and project teams
• Seal project documents as Engineer of Record, as appropriate
• Mentorship and knowledge sharing within the team and company
• Contribute to local practice development and client relationship building in Hawaii
