Job summary
Johnson Service Group (JSG) is seeking a contract Structural Engineer III in Englewood, CO to design, evaluate, and certify cutting-edge products and services. You will analyze steel/aluminum structures, bolted connections, welds, and sometimes composites, conducting static/dynamic analyses and developing substantiation reports.
You will work within multi-disciplinary teams, guiding the development lifecycle from initial analysis through test execution and design integration, ensuring compliance
Qualifications
- Advanced understanding of structural analysis and design principles.
- Experience with static and dynamic analyses using hand calculations and FEA tools (FEMAP, MSC Patran, Nastran).
- Experience analyzing steel and aluminum structures, bolted joints, and welds.
- Experience analyzing components exposed to vehicle shock and vibration.
- Ability to author substantiation reports.
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead analysis of structural components and review designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate structural designs into overall systems.
- Oversee development and execution of structural tests and validation activities.
