Job summary
Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group in Minneapolis seeks a Senior Structural/Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and analysis of modular mechanical systems. You will perform FEA on skid bases, piping racks, and supports, run CFD-heat transfer studies, and validate CAD models with CAD teams.
You will interface with piping, process, electrical, and instrumentation teams, ensure compliance with US/Canadian codes, review models, and contribute to DVA/FEA analyses. P.Eng certification preferred.
Qualifications
- BE/ME Mechanical/Structural degree required.
- 3-5 years of engineering experience in a similar role.
- Experience with static steel structure design and codes.
- Proficient in seismic and vibration analysis.
- Experience with Hyperworks, ANSYS FLUENT, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro.
- CFD-Heat Transfer analysis experience preferred.
- P.Eng certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Improve product design with structural reviews and model approval.
- Perform FEA on racks, supports, skid, cable trays and more.
- Conduct CFD-Heat Transfer analyses and validate simulations.
- Coordinate CAD work packages for high-quality modeling.
- Interface with piping, process, electrical, and instrumentation teams.
- Develop structural systems concepts for lifecycle requirements.
