Job summary

BB&E is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to provide design support for NAVFAC Pacific projects at Pearl Harbor-Hickam, HI. The role focuses on structural analysis and design of building vertical and lateral systems, piers, and waterfront structures using UFC, IBC and ASCE 7 standards.

You will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, review technical submittals, prepare minutes and status reports, and support commissioning and field activities.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a structural focus.
• Minimum 10 years of design management and structural design experience.
• Experience with DoD UFC, IBC, ASCE 7 and waterfront/piers structures.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design of building vertical and lateral systems.
• Coordinate with team to meet scope, schedule, and budget.
• Provide technical reviews to minimize project delays.
• Research codes, policies, and Federal regulations for decisions.
• Coordinate with NAVFAC, government clients, and stakeholders.
• Review reports, RFIs, designs, and cost proposals for compliance.
• Provide support for commissioning plans, submittals, and field inspections.
• Attend weekly meetings and prepare monthly status reports.
• Field investigations are excluded; no travel required.
