Job summary

SpecPro Sustainment and Environmental, SSE, seeks a Structural Engineer to support NAVFAC Northwest in Silverdale, WA. The role involves performing structural analysis, designing building systems, and coordinating with design teams on DoD projects.

Required six years of design management or design experience, knowledge of UFC/IBC/ASCE 7, and U.S. citizenship. SSE offers comprehensive benefits and a path for credentialed engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a structural focus is required.
• Minimum of six (6) years of design management experience or design experience.
• Experience with structural analysis and design of buildings and related structures.
• Knowledge of UFC, IBC and ASCE 7.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• U.S. citizen with a valid driver's license and ability to pass background/screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design of building vertical and lateral force-resisting systems.
• Design retaining, utility, waterfront structures and related structural systems.
• Design structural elements using concrete, steel, and masonry.
• Review reports, designs, RFIs, submittals, cost proposals, and construction documents.
• Provide technical recommendations and construction-phase engineering support.
• Coordinate with NAVFAC personnel, project stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams.
