Job summary

Exyte US, Inc. is seeking a Lead Structural Engineer to develop structural engineering solutions under the supervision of Senior Engineers.

You will collaborate with multiple disciplines to produce drawings, specifications, and Construction Documents while mentoring interns and junior staff. Ideal candidates have 8+ years of experience, a Bachelor’s in Engineering, and professional licensure (PE/SE) or NCEES Record preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Engineering required.
• Master’s Degree preferred.
• PE License or SE License preferred.
• NCEES Record preferred.
• 8+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with other disciplines and contractors to support the development of design deliverables such as drawings and specifications.
• Reviews shop drawings and submittals to understand how design and construction are inter-related.
• Attends construction and design verification walks and submit report of observations.
• Prepares structural engineering calculations and finite element modelling under the supervision of a Senior Engineer.
• Works closely with design and technical teams in leading the development of design deliverables such as reports and Construction Documents, including drawings and specifications.
• Analyses and designs the basic structural components of a building or other structure.
• Coordinates structural models and drawings with the other design disciplines.
• Mentors Interns and junior members of project teams.
• Participates in the development of office standards and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
