Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer with expertise in hyperscale data centers to join our growing Data Center practice. You will lead design and analysis for large-scale facilities, leveraging BIM tools and sustainable design approaches.

The role offers remote work flexibility and may require periodic travel for client meetings, milestones, and site visits across the US. Strong leadership and communication are essential for coordinating multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience in building structures design and analysis.
• Licensed U.S. Professional Engineer (PE or SE).
• Experience in data center, mission critical, or large scale logistics/industrial facilities.
• Experience with precast concrete systems, steel design, seismic design, and foundation systems.
• Demonstrated experience with low embodied carbon materials and sustainable structural design approaches.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform structural design and analysis for multiple data center buildings, including hyperscale and colocation facilities.
• Develop design documentation for tilt-up concrete panels, precast structures, steel framing systems, and foundations.
• Coordinate design deliverables with architectural, civil, MEP, and construction teams to ensure alignment with project objectives and client standards.
• Oversee preparation of construction documents, specifications, and calculations, ensuring quality and code compliance.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
• Travel to client meetings and project milestones as needed.
