The Position:

We’re looking for a Structural Engineer with a construction engineering emphasis who will have the following responsibilities:

• Assess, model, and analyze complex steel, concrete, and timber structures on heavy civil projects in all phases of access, demolition, and construction.
• Design falsework and formwork to relevant codes and standards.
• Engineer temporary and permanent earth retention systems.
• Develop critical lift and jacking plans required for safe operations.
• Prepare relevant, clear drawings for use by fabricators and field operations within fast-paced construction timeframes.
• In conjunction with Construction and Project Managers, solve engineering related project issues.
• Review and update engineering standards for field operations and design.
• Assist in responding to questions from contractors, public agencies and officials, or other stakeholders regarding policies, procedures, and practices.
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

The Candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field emphasis in Structural Engineering is preferred.
• 6 – 15 years of work experience in Structural Engineering.
• PE license preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record.
• Knowledge of heavy civil and/or construction engineering theories and principles.
• Prior experience working with computers and related software applications for analysis and design.
• AutoCad knowledge is required; Civil 3D, Midas Civil, Risa 3D, Civiltech Shoring, and Civiltech AllPile are preferred.
