Job summary

A leading civil engineering firm in the United States is seeking an experienced structural engineer to manage structural reviews for various projects including bridges, culverts, and retaining walls. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects. Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in structural engineering.
• Prior oversight of design teams for County or State bridge projects.
• Experience with PennDOT (including PA counties) design.

Responsibilities

• Review of structure submissions from project concept through project letting.
• Provide support to the client as a subject matter expert in structural engineering.
• Preparation of design computations, quantity estimates, and construction cost estimates.

Skills

Strong work ethic

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Ability to work on multiple projects

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering

PA PE

Tools

CADD Software (MicroStation and/or AutoCAD)

Computer assisted engineering and design software
