Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer in New York to lead bridge and transit structure design projects within our Transportation Business Group. You will perform complex planning, analysis, and design for all structural aspects of transportation projects and supervise junior engineers while interfacing with clients to deliver safe, innovative mobility solutions.

You will hold a Bachelor's in Civil/Structural Engineering with 10+ years of experience, a PE license, and proficiency in RAM,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
10+ years structural engineering experience related to building design.
Master's degree in Structural Engineering preferred.
Professional engineering license (PE) recognized by local board.
Experience with design calculations and layouts; ability to design in steel, concrete, masonry and wood.

Responsibilities

Lead technical role on bridge and/or transit structure design projects.
Perform complex structural planning, analysis, and design for all structural aspects of transportation projects.
Work on projects that include bridge and/or transit structures and related components.
Serve as a technical specialist or Project Manager on mid-size projects; supervise junior engineers.
Interface with clients and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
