Job summary

HDR seeks a Senior Bridge Technical Director to lead the major bridges program within the Transportation Business Group. You will provide strategic technical direction, coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, and mentor engineers across locations to deliver complex, long-span projects.

Join HDR as an employee-owner shaping safe, sustainable mobility solutions. Significant travel across North America, Canada, and Australia is expected to support on-site projects and client relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required; PE license preferred.
• 10+ years of bridge design experience with leadership in major projects.
• Proven hands-on technical leadership and mentorship abilities.
• Experience in design-build and P3 delivery models.
• Familiarity with major bridge software platforms listed in qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, directing, and monitoring large multi-disciplinary bridge projects.
• Provide technical oversight and cross-team coordination.
• Develop designs for long-span bridges including various configurations.
• Cultivate client relationships and support marketing and proposals.
• Oversee QA/QC, staff selection, and on-site technical guidance.
