Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to support design, review, assessment, and evaluation of structural projects across a large geographic region, including Alaska. You will provide technical guidance for facility assessments, project planning, design reviews, engineering analysis, and construction support.

The ideal candidate has strong AutoCAD proficiency, solid knowledge of building codes (IBC/IRC), and experience with structural analysis and design.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering with structural emphasis.
5+ years of structural engineering experience.
5+ years of AutoCAD experience.
Experience with structural analysis and design.
Experience with building codes including IBC, IRC, and related standards.
Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

Perform structural engineering evaluations, assessments, and technical reviews.
Develop project scopes of work, cost estimates, and design packages.
Create and review engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
Review contractor and architect/engineer design submissions.
Provide engineering guidance and technical problem resolution.
Conduct facility condition assessments and field investigations.
Support construction projects through design review and contract modifications.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, contractors, and stakeholders.
Travel periodically to project and operational sites for inspections and assessments.
