Job summary

EXP Global Inc. is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer for buildings projects with flexible location options across Florida, including Orlando, Tampa, Miami, and Fort Lauderdale.

You will contribute to building structures with a focus on seismic and wind lateral design, utilizing Revit and RAM/CSI tools. The role requires a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering and 3-4 years of post-licensure experience, with strong communication skills and experience in multi-project

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering.
• 3-4 years of post-licensure experience focused on building design.
• Familiarity with Florida Building Code and International Building Code.
• Strong Revit modeling and sheet creation skills; knowledge of family creation and templates is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Self-perform and assist others in schematic design through construction administration.
• Produce calculations, sketches, drawings, specifications, and coordinate multi-discipline work.
• Conduct observations of existing conditions in the field and from historical drawings.
• Work on multiple projects with coordination across EXP offices and external consultants.
• Occasional short-term travel to project sites.

In this role, you will be a part of aBuilding Structuresfocusedteam. The location for the selected candidate is flexible but ideal location could include but are not limited toOrlando, TampaMiami, Fort Lauderdale

What a day at EXP has in store for you

• Ability to self-perform and/or assist others in performing the required work at any stage of a project from schematic design through construction administration.
• Calculations, sketches, drawing production, specifications, multi-discipline coordination should be expected on a regular basis.
• Conducting observations of and evaluating existing conditions in both the field and via existing historical drawings are commonplace.
• Expect to work on multiple projects concurrently that require coordination of work between multiple EXP offices, as well as outside consultants.
• Occasional short-term travel to project sites. Usually, a single night or two at a time.
• Vertical structure design with experience in wood, steel, concrete, masonry and light gauge framing required.
• Seismic and wind lateral design experience.

What your experience looks like

• Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering with 3-4 years of experience post licensure with a focus on building design.
• Maintain strong Revit skills in both modeling and sheet creation at a minimum. Additional skills on items such as family creation, knowledge of parameter use, and templates is a plus.
• Project experience includes Federal, Commercial, Municipal, and Entertainment structural design.
• Familiarity with the Florida Building Code and International Building Code.
• Software: RAM Suite, CSI Suite, Enercalc, Revit.
• Hold excellent written and verbal communication skills. Possess the ability to write persuasively and communicate technical subject matter in a concise and comprehendible manner to a less technical audience.
