Job summary

Johnson Service Group (JSG) is actively searching for a Senior Structural Engineer for our client’s operation near Denver, CO. This is a long-term contract position with competitive pay and the opportunity to work on state-of-the-art projects.

The Senior Structural Engineer will provide structural engineering services, perform structural analysis and design calculations in conformance with engineering principles, industry standards, and applicable codes on small to mid-capital projects to client

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience in oil and gas, mining and metals, or related projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering with structural emphasis.
• Good understanding of ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC 360 and IBC.
• Working knowledge of PIP standards.
• Familiarity with Staad, LPile, MathCAD, MS Office suite.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD 2D and Navisworks 3D; AutoCAD 3D knowledge preferred.
• Willingness to travel locally up to 20% per project requirement.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English with engineering vocabulary.
• Colorado PE license required or eligible for rec; SE in at least one state preferred.

• Communicate findings and recommendations through technical reports.

The Senior Structural Engineerwill provide structural engineering services, perform structural analysis and design calculations in conformance with engineering principles, industry standards, and applicable codes on small to mid-capital projects to client and its customers.

• 8+ years’ relevant experience in oil and gas, mining and metals, or related projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering with structural emphasis.
• Good understanding of ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC 360 and IBC.
• Working knowledge of PIP standards.
• Familiarity with Staad, LPile, MathCAD, MS Office suite.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD 2D and Navisworks 3D. AutoCAD 3D knowledge preferred but not required.
• Willingness to perform job site visits per project requirement. Occasional local travel to site up to 20%, per project requirement.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, including engineering related vocabulary. Technical report writing skills to effectively communicate analysis and evaluation findings and recommendations.
• Must have a current Colorado PE license or a PE license in another state with the ability to obtain a Colorado PE license. SE license in at least one state preferred.
