Job summary

WSP in Irvine, CA is seeking an Experienced Structural Drafter to join our Property & Buildings team. You will support modeling and detailing of new and existing structures under supervision, coordinating with architects, contractors, and clients.

The role emphasizes producing high-quality deliverables on time, leading with attention to safety, and growing within the structural engineering profession.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or higher required.
• 7+ years of engineering drafting experience.
• Proficient with Revit and AutoCAD.
• Experience with cloud BIM platforms (BIM360, Forma/ACCloud).
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and mechanical drawings.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated self-leadership and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to work schedules beyond typical workweeks when needed.

Responsibilities

• Construct comprehensive structural Revit models for various materials and projects.
• Generate structural drawings from markups and architectural backgrounds.
• Apply advanced modeling techniques and design requirements.
• Maintain cloud-based BIM models throughout projects.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and clients in meetings.
• Uphold quality control and accurate measurement reporting.
• Adhere to company policies and Code of Conduct.
• Perform additional duties as required.
