Job summary

WSP is seeking an Intermediate Structural Drafter to join our Property & Buildings team in Los Angeles, CA. You will support modeling and detailing of structural systems and coordinate with architects and clients to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Responsibilities include building Revit models for concrete, steel, CMU, and mass timber, generating drawings from markups, and maintaining BIM models. Expect collaboration with engineers and adherence to WSP drafting standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of engineering drafting experience.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Experience with cloud-based BIM platforms (BIM360, Autodesk Construction Cloud/Forma).
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and mechanical drawings.
• Strong communication and professionalism in conveying technical concepts.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Commitment to safety policies and company standards.
• Ability to adapt to project schedules and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Construct comprehensive structural Revit models for residential, institutional, and commercial projects.
• Generate structural drawings from markups and backgrounds.
• Maintain cloud-based BIM models throughout project duration.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, contractors, and clients.
• Ensure quality control and on-time deliverables per drafting standards.
• Contribute to project coordination via meetings and documentation.
