Job summary

A structural engineering firm is seeking a Structural Discipline Specialist for a hybrid position in Indianapolis. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 years of experience in engineering design for pharmaceutical and industrial facilities, a P.E. License, and strong leadership qualities. Responsibilities include leading structural design projects, providing technical guidance, and maintaining communication with clients. Qualifications

• Minimum 12+ years of experience in engineering design of building structural systems.
• Demonstrated experience in leading structural design for steel and concrete structures.
• Previous leadership and mentoring experience for structural engineers.

Responsibilities

• Provide discipline leadership for structural design and documentation.
• Ensure Structural Design meets quality expectations and schedules.
• Provide technical guidance to less experienced personnel.
• Maintain effective communications with department members and clients.
• Assist in project proposals and employee performance feedback.

Skills

Leadership experience

Advanced proficiency in STAAD and STAAD Pro

Working knowledge of AutoCAD

Working knowledge of Revit

Solid knowledge of building codes

Strong communication skills

Education

Bachelor's or Master's in Civil/Structural Engineering

Professional Engineering (P.E.) License
